Successful Participation at Mechanical Engineering Open House at HTWG Konstanz 2026

Once again this year, extrutec GmbH was represented at the Mechanical Engineering Open House at HTWG Konstanz—and once again, it became clear just how valuable direct interaction with dedicated young professionals is.
Our booth attracted numerous interested students, graduates, and future professionals. Through many engaging conversations, we were able to provide insights into our projects and technologies while also learning more about the perspectives and expectations of the next generation of engineers.
As an internationally active technology provider for the aluminum extrusion industry, extrutec stands for innovative solutions, the highest quality standards, and comprehensive plant systems—from planning to integration into existing processes.
This is precisely why it is crucial for us to invest in young talent early on. Engaging with students opens up new perspectives, brings fresh ideas into the company, and lays the foundation for long-term collaboration. For us, one thing is clear: innovation arises not only from technology, but above all from the people who shape it.

A big thank you to HTWG Konstanz for the excellent organization and the opportunity to once again be part of this successful event. We look forward to continuing our discussions—and perhaps seeing some of these promising talents at extrutec again soon. 🤝

District Administrator and Municipality Visit extrutec

Dialogue for a Strong Region

On Thursday, April 16, extrutec had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the municipality of Moos, the district of Konstanz, and representatives of the local business community to its company site. Together with Mayor Patrick Krauss, District Administrator Zeno Danner, as well as members of the municipal council and the local business association, an in-depth exchange took place on key topics related to regional development.

As part of the visit, extrutec presented its development and strategic direction, outlining its journey from its founding in 2005 at the RIZ Radolfzell Innovation Center to its current international orientation.

In the context of the municipal visit, extrutec was regarded as an example of continuously growing business development at the Moos location. Despite the challenging economic conditions of recent years and at present, the company has made targeted investments in the site and, with the construction of its new technical center in 2025, has made a clear commitment to further local development. In this context, Mayor Patrick Krauss emphasized the importance of strong cooperation: “extrutec GmbH is a major asset for the municipality of Moos.”

The focus was on the company’s consistent further development—shaped by technological innovation, high quality standards, and the ambition to create sustainable and durable solutions for the aluminum extrusion industry. Within this environment, extrutec has established itself as a technology provider and is now active worldwide. In addition to technological expertise, stable, long-term partnerships and a clear focus on the global market are key factors in this success.

As a provider of integrated plant systems, extrutec covers a broad spectrum—from gas and induction furnaces to high-convection furnaces, as well as software and automation solutions. All components are seamlessly integrated, enabling turnkey solutions—from planning and implementation to integration into existing production processes. Long-term customer relationships, supported by comprehensive service and after-sales solutions, are a core part of the company’s philosophy.

During the subsequent tour of the showroom and production facilities, guests gained insights into the company’s history, its technological solutions, as well as current and future developments.

The meeting placed a strong emphasis on open dialogue between the municipality, the district, and the business community. Topics such as the region’s economic development, current political challenges, and the framework conditions for businesses were discussed constructively. For extrutec, this exchange is of great importance, as a strong region is built through collaboration, mutual understanding, and shared perspectives.

extrutec is pleased about the positive and cooperative partnership with the municipality of Moos and the district of Konstanz and would like to thank all participants for their visit and the valuable dialogue.
