The programme in Brisbane featured numerous presentations on the latest developments in the aluminium industry. Extrutec contributed to the programme with two presentations by Jan Günter and Dennis Nordmeyer, focusing on green electrical solutions.

The significant interest and awareness surrounding this topic demonstrates the industry's initial shift towards carbon-neutral solutions. The enclosed exhibition area was used during the breaks to develop personal relationships and hold in-depth discussions about current and future equipment solutions by extrutec.

It was a day full of interesting presentations and good conversation. Green heating technology plays a key role in helping the Oceania region to reach their set environmental goals.

The shared exhibition stand with WEFA Group and Marx Group under the Melchers  umbrella was a great addition, as it demonstrates 'Made in Germany', 'Made in Mittelstand' and 'Made in family business'.

extrutec GmbH was founded 20 years ago, on July 1, 2005, by Uwe Günter. The company initially concentrated on the sale of spare parts, but was quickly able to launch technical innovations and thus enter the sale of new systems. The first products were limited to gas heating systems. This was quickly followed by other systems in the periphery of the extrusion press, including profile cooling and hot saws.

With the establishment of the electric furnace construction and induction technology division in 2019, extrutec finally entered into production and founded the Menden site.

High customer demand has allowed the company to grow in recent years to its current workforce of over 100 employees spread across three locations.

The 20th anniversary was celebrated yesterday at all extrutec locations with a relaxed party. Company founder and owner Uwe Günter shared his very own story with the employees, from the founding years as a sole trader to the company's current global orientation.
